Select Configure > Firmware > Check for Firmware Upgrade to see if there is an updated Firmware available for your ThunderMax ECM. If an updated firmware is available for your ThunderMax ECM, the following window will appear: If you select the “OK” button, the firmware download will begin.
Is a ThunderMax tuner worth it?
The Thundermax is an excellent on-the-fly tuner that adjusts automatically. You might be able to dyno tune and get a little more out of it but I doubt that’s worth the money you’d spend on the tuning unless you’ve done at least stage 3-4 to your bike.

How do you reinitialize ThunderMax?
- After you have written the base map to your ThunderMax module, you will need to re-initialize your ThunderMax system.
- With the RUN switch in RUN position, cycle the IGNITION switch ON for 30 seconds, OFF for 30 seconds, 3 times.
