The Cathedral Cove Walk from the carpark at the Hahei Village Entry Carpark on the outskirts of Hahei beach is approximately a 1.15 hrs walk. From the top lookout it is a 10 minute walk to Gemstone Bay Snorkel Trail, 20 min to Stingray Bay and approximately 45 mins one way to The Cove.

How much does it cost? It’s $10 per adult and $2 per child, there is EFTPOS available.. The small charge is for use of the manned carpark, toilets, and access to the bush track, beach and caves. The carpark is manned, but we suggest you take any expensive personal belongings such as phones and cameras with you.
Can you kayak from Hahei to Cathedral Cove?
The kayak hire is purely for use in Hahei Beach and down to Cathedral Cove. Kayaks must stay within the yellow buoys which are approximately 200m off shore. Kayakers cannot go any further West than Cathedral Cove and cannot go any further East than the East-end of Hahei Beach.

Why are Cathedral Caves closed?
The Caves are open for visiting between late October and May. Sometimes, spring tides delay the opening a few weeks. Access is limited to one and a half hours before low tide and up to one hour after low tide. It is not available before 7.30am or after 8.30pm.
