How do you inject NovoMix 30?
NovoMix® 30 is for injection under the skin (subcutaneously). Never inject your insulin directly into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). NovoMix® 30 FlexPen® is only suitable for injecting under the skin. Speak to your doctor if you need to inject your insulin by another method.

Can I take NovoMix 3 times a day?
From NovoMix 30 twice daily to thrice daily: the morning dose can be split into morning and lunchtime doses (thrice daily dosing). How to adjust the dose: Adjust the dose of NovoMix 30 on the basis of the lowest pre-meal blood glucose level from the three previous days.
What type of insulin is NovoMix 30?
NovoMix 30 is a biphasic insulin, which contains 30% soluble insulin aspart. This has a rapid onset of action, thus allowing it to be given closer to a meal (within zero to 10 minutes of the meal) when compared to soluble human insulin.

That means there are 100 units of insulin in each milliliter (mL) of insulin. Humalog® insulin comes in 3 mL (300 units) vials or 10 mL (1000 units) vials. All other types of insulin come in 10 mL (1000 units) vials. Insulin pens or cartridges come in boxes of five 3 mL pens or cartridges.
