What is considered the teeing area?
The teeing area is where you start each hole and is one of the five defined areas of the course. It has a defined size and shape that is a two club-length deep rectangle measured from the tee-markers you are playing your round from. You can stand outside the teeing area as long as your ball is within the teeing area.
Can you tee up anywhere in the tee box?
Basically, a golfer can draw an imaginary rectangle to determine where they can tee up their ball on any hole. First, two corners of the rectangle are the tee markers. You can’t tee the ball in front of them, and you can’t tee the ball up outside of them.
