About 10 miles into to the route, off of ST.Rte. 78, ST.Rte 555 is covered with a layer of gravel for the next 15 – 20 miles. Very dangerous. The rest of the road is great, and I’m sure when construction is done, that part will also be great. There just isn’t enough information letting you know how long the construction lasts.
Is the 555 north of Chesterhill worth it?
Perhaps a gas station or two. While there’s no doubt that 555 north of Chesterhill is better, this I would say, is map worthy. Great ride. Nice twisties and plenty of elevation changes.
