Emerald Coast Dragway is located 15 minutes west of Crestview, FL, and 35 minutes north of Ft. Walton Beach and Destin. The facility closed in November of 2011 and was purchased by Ozzy Moya and Bob Brown in 2016. The track is well known as a family friendly facility and has a loyal following of competitors.

The 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia will remain closed after automotive company Hurricane Racing Tours withdrew plans to reopen the venue to public racing. The company’s announcement came in a Facebook post Thursday from Terris Hicks, who led the campaign, which began in July, to bring racing back to the drag strip.

In the mid-1970s, the four owners of ATCO purchased the drag strip and changed the name to the Cecil County Dragway. Under this ownership, the drag strip deteriorated, however, the current owner, Jimmy Halsey, has made a successful comeback with weekly races and special events.
