How do you create references?
Create a bibliography, citations, and references
- Put your cursor at the end of the text you want to cite.
- Go to References > Style, and choose a citation style.
- Select Insert Citation.
- Choose Add New Source and fill out the information about your source.

No. Taking someone else’s bibliography, reading those papers, and writing some words of your own about those papers is not plagiarism. Don’t restrict yourself to just those papers, though. In all likelihood, the thesis writer won’t have cited every resource that is useful or relevant to your work.

A professional or full reference is from an employer and contains information about your experience, skills, what you can do, and what you’ve accomplished. It has to be accurate. A character reference is from someone you have known for a while. It could be a family friend, business acquaintance or a neighbour.
