Creativity Action Service Requirements IB Diploma candidates are required to complete 150 CAS hours. These hours must be distributed in each of the three areas below. Projects may include two to three aspects and these projects are the most beneficial to students.

- Volunteer at a local charity shop.
- Spend an hour a week volunteering at a nursing home.
- Volunteer at your local hospital.

- Or organise a talent show at school, charge an entry fee, and donate the funds to charity.

The CAS project is meant to last one month and take a minimum of 12 total hours, from planning to completion and reflection. CAS projects of longer duration can provide even greater scope and opportunities for all participants and should be encouraged.

- Select the students to submit (including a fourth exemplary student if you’d like)
- Attach a signed authorization letter.
- Click Save Changes to allow the IB access to these students’ CAS files through ManageBac.
