They seem to have ditched this braking system on the 2020 version, at least in the US. 2020 Defy advanced models both have Shimano hydraulics. They’ve also increased the price substantially. The 2020 Defy Advanced 1 is $2,820 according to Giant’s website. Except for the brakes and paint, it appears to be identical to the 2019.
