KeyKeg is designed for circularity. We want to go beyond traditional recycling to a circular economy in which raw materials from empty KeyKegs are reused to produce new KeyKegs. KeyKeg is two-way and single-use. It travels one way as a product to customers and returns to us as materials to use again.
How long does a KeyKeg last?
Once tapped (opened), beer stays fresh for at least 4 weeks in KeyKeg, although it often lasts much longer, depending on beer style, proper storage conditions and the cleanliness of dispense systems.

How do you vent a KeyKeg?
Use the pull ring on the keykeg coupler to release gas from the keg. Pull down the beer tap to let all the excess gas get released – they’ll lose a bit of beer here unfortunately. Leave the beer tap open for at least 2 hours. Should see big bubbles of beer coming out – that’s a good sign!

KeyKegs are essentially a sterile bag within an outer plastic sphere capable of holding pressure. When filled the inner bag expands to fill the outer plastic sphere. When served the beer leaves the bag and the space in the sphere is replaced with the serve gas.
