How do you remove a Moen Monticello Roman tub spout?
Step One-Will the Spout Fit?
- Remove the round plug button from behind the spout.
- Use a 5/32″ Hex wrench to remove the Hex screw from behind the spout.
- Pull up on the spout to remove the old spout. This may be difficult to remove due to sealant or putty around it.
- Measure the spout shank.
Are Moen Roman Tub faucets interchangeable?
Moen makes two basic types of deck mounted tub faucets- roman tub faucets and garden tub faucets. These faucets are identical in appearance however the spouts for garden tub faucets are shorter than spouts for roman tub faucets. Service parts are not interchangeable.

Where is the series number on a single handle faucet?
Single/Two Handle The series number may be stamped on the back side of the spout, near the base where it swivels on the sink. If you point your spout aerator (where the water comes out) so that it is facing the 3 o’clock position, the series number should be located on the opposite side at the 9 o’clock position.
