How do I set up my Umass email?
Set up Microsoft 365 Email in the default Mail app on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
- Enter [email protected] and tap Next.
- Enter your password and tap Sign in.
- You may be asked to verify your identity with two-step login. Follow the prompts on your devices to finish signing in.
Can I keep my Umass email?
You can still receive email addressed to your @student.umass.edu address or @department.umass.edu address, but it will no longer be considered your official campus email address.
How do I set up Umass in Outlook?
If you have used Outlook for another email account and would like to add your UMass Amherst Exchange account, you can access the Add Account window by going to File > Info and clicking the Add Account button under Account Information. The Add Account window will appear and Email Account should be selected.
How do I activate my spire account?

Does my UMass email expire?
All students keep their UMass Boston email account for two years after graduation, at which point it will be deleted. If you graduated and wish to keep receiving email sent to your UMass Boston email address, you may request an alumni forward, which allows you to keep your email address after your account is deleted.
How do I setup my Gmail account on Outlook?
Adding Your Gmail Account to Outlook
- Open Outlook.
- Click the File menu.
- Click Add Account.
- In the window that opens, select New.
- Type in your Gmail and click Connect.
- Type in your password, then click Connect.
- Outlook will add your Gmail.

Why can’t I log into Spire?

Where do I find my Spire ID number?
View My SPIRE ID From the SPIRE Menu, select IT Accounts > My IT Accounts. From the SPIRE Menu, select My Personal Information > Demographic Info.
How do I log into my Umass Lowell email account?

Starting in summer 2013, UMass Amherst Google Mail became the official email system for all undergraduate students, and graduate students and select faculty and staff in 2019.

Google Mail has also replaced UMail as the official email system for all graduate students in spring 2019 and select faculty and staff in fall 2019. The transition from UMail to Google Mail for undergraduates’ email occurred in late June 2013. UMass Amherst IT automatically transferred students’ mailboxes from UMail to Google Mail.
