A 37 kilometre rail journey onboard authentic vintage carriages through the Barron Gorge National Park (World Heritage-listed rainforest – The Wet Tropics) from Cairns to Kuranda, village in the rainforest. The track rises 327 metres above sea level with the steepest gradient being 1:50.

How long is Skyrail journey?
A one-way journey takes approximately 1 ½ hours including time spent exploring Red Peak and Barron Falls. Allow 2 ½ hours for a round trip experience. Skyrail can be combined with the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for a half or full day experience.
Is Scenic World Dog friendly?
Are dogs or pets allowed on site? As Scenic World is located within the Blue Mountains National Park, only registered service animals are permitted.
Is Cairns Botanic Gardens dog friendly?
There are no pets allowed in the Botanic Gardens but you can walk you dog through the centenary lakes area.
Is Behana Gorge dog friendly?
You’ll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren’t allowed on this trail. This trail features the beautiful Clamshell Falls cascading along the Behana Creek into deep green pools, that supply Cairns with fresh rainforest water. The granite gorge is a sight to see all year round, with swimming holes and great views.
