Runners start the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Half Marathon course in downtown Nashville at the corner of 4th Avenue and Broadway, next to both the historic Ryman Auditorium and the Johnny Cash Museum.
Is the Nashville half marathon flat?
The course was a constant downhill or uphill with a lot of turns and no real flat sections. There were multiple places where runners stacked up. Don’t run this race looking for a PR. Overall, I would recommend the race.

Fun, but really hard race. Completed the Nashville Marathon for the first time in 22 after completing the half in previous years. You start on Nashville Broadway in downtown. The first 10 miles or so the half and full are together.
How hilly is Nashville half marathon?
It did have some hills at the beginning, but flattened out in the second half of the 13.1 mile loop that we did twice. Very little in the way of crowd support, but there was a lot of beer and pizza at the finish. There were also free massages at the finish, but the lines were kind of long.
